Description

Welcome to my weblog, that was originally associated with my studies for my Masters in ICT and Education at Leeds University. My initial areas of expertise developed in the areas of e-learning mostly concentrating on learner led online tools including the use of Social Networks and other Web 2.0 tools to improve and facilitate learning.

My emphasis has never really changed although this weblog has – which is now devoted as I am sure you have realised to the beginnings of an iPad trial at my current school – ACS Egham. This weblog is open to the musings of Sixth Form students and there use of the iPad – and it will be interesting over the coming months whether the trials ends as abother false dawn for a new technology or validates a new chance for Technology to change and improve a student centred approach to learning and productivity even within such a traditional area of education as the Sixth Form.

You will also find here other ramblings about my ideas related to Technology in Education from a very practical perspective from my current position as IB Coordinator and Assistant Principal at ACS Egham International School UK. Go and check out the website and my latest work in using Weblogs within classrooms.
